Bedding with bedding block
Out of stock
Some stocks, like the popular HS Precision that is standard equipment on many factory Remington rifles, use a bedding block instead of pillars. While this solution can sometimes allow a rifle to perform well without bedding, skim bedding the surfaces between the block and the action does create an interface area that is free of any potential stress. Since no pillars are used in this case the cost is slightly cheaper than bedding with pillars.
We use a lot of Manners stocks on our Signature Series rifles. We most often use the Manners mini-chassis in these stocks. As with our chassis systems that are glued into composite stocks, we have found skim bedding these chassis systems to be beneficial and allow the rifle to perform to the best of its ability.
